Phytocenosis in sand dunes at Guanabo beach, La Habana, Cuba. IV. Post dune
Main Article Content
Abstract
There are few antecedents in Cuba about researches related, as a whole, to flora synanthropism, coastal dunes phytocenosis and ecological characteristics of human intervention; for this reason, it was decided to study them in the post dunes of Guanabo beach. The phytocenological method of Zürich-Montpellier and the Phytosociological Nomenclature Code were used. In the areas, strong anthropic action is observed, and for this reason new phytocenosis synanthropics are established, which are described in this document. The results inform about the best species to design the restoration of these ecosystems. The continuous anthropic events, due to inadequate management actions of Guanabo beach, caused the entrance and increase of introduced synanthropic plants, mainly invasive ones, which seriously disturbed the regular order of succession of the vegetation, which as a consequence lost its natural functioning and the capacity of recovery per se of the territory.
