Abstract
The species of the Cicadidae Leach and Membracidae Rafinesque (Hemiptera, Cicadoidea) that are represented in the entomological collection of the Institute of Ecology and Systematics are listed. We offer the data contained in the cards of each specimen: catalog number, locality, dates, coordinated geographical, collector and conservation state, as well as in some cases the habitat, host plants, the height in mountainous systems where they inhabit and if it conserves the exhuvia and the genital. The collection conserves 292 specimens that represent 7 species and three genus of the cicadas of Cuba; and 254 specimens that represent 19 species and 12 genera of Membracidae. Diceroprocta biconica (Cicadidae) and Spissistilus rotundata (Membracidae) are the best species represented with 97 specimens in 14 provinces of the country and 41 in 11, respectively. In the collection there are 6 cicádidos species and 8 of membrácidos that are endemic of Cuba.
