Land snails of the Guamuhaya massif, Cuba

Abstract
The Guamuhaya massif is one of the sites of greatest species richness, however, the main studies are focused on vertebrates and plants, very little is known about invertebrates and in particular about land snails. In this work, the species were listed, and mapped the potential richness of land snails for this mountain massif. We compiled 460 records belonging to 98 species with 86 % of endemism. Urocoptidae, Annulariidae, Helicinidae, Megalomastomatidae and Cepolidae were the most representative families. The highest potential richness values were found in the higher elevations of the massif.
