Ferns and licophytes list in agroecological farms of Sagua-Nipe-Baracoa mountains, Cuba

Abstract

An inventory of ferns and lycophytes in forest areas of five agroforestal farms of the Nipe-Sagua-Baracoa biological corridor in Santiago de Cuba province was recorded. It was reported three species of lycophytes and 51 species of ferns, represented by 13 families and 22 genus.  Most of the present species in the farms are terrestrial with a wide distribution. The two farms with more number of species were El Ocho de Mella and El Guisaso. The families of ferns with more numbers of species were Pteridaceae (8) and Thelypteridaceae (7).
