Abstract
The diversity of non-vascular plants (hornworts, liverworts and mosses) in the Guamuhaya mountain massif is represented by 326 infrageneric taxa belonging to 158 genera and 59 families. The best represented families were: Lejeuneaceae (with 58 taxa), Radulaceae (22 taxa), Pilotrichaceae (16 taxa), Pottiaceae (13 taxa), Brachytheciaceae and Fissidentaceae (both with 12 taxa), Sematophyllaceae (11 taxa) and Calymperaceae, Pterobryaceae and Aneuraceae (all with 10 taxa). The most diverse genera turned out to be Radula (with 22 taxa) and Fissidens (12 taxa). The endemic moss Vesicularia vesicularis var. crassicaulis is recognized. The 59.2% of the non-vascular flora studied grows epiphytes on the trunks, branches, exposed roots and leaves of trees and shrubs. The greatest diversity of taxa was found in the Topes de Collantes Protected Natural Landscape. 95 infrageneric taxa are recognized with preliminary threat categories: 60 Threatened (A), 32 Least Concern (LC) and three Near Threatened (NT).
